Ripa de Teti oil boasts the peculiarity of having a very low acidity and high content of polyphenols with positive biomedical effects at cardiovascular level, on diseases related to senescence and on cancer diseases prevention.
It is obtained from various Italian cultivars: Dritta, Taggiasca, Leccino, Frantoio, Leccio del Corno and, above all, Gentile di Chieti. This blend is the reason for the excellent product: a refined oil with a rich and “Gentle” taste, particularly delicate.
According to the law, the extra virgin olive oil is the superior category oil obtained directly from olives and by mechanical processes. This oil is obtained from the fruit of the olive tree and no alteration of the oil is allowed during the process. The fruit shall not undergo any treatment other than washing, decanting, centrifugation and filtration. The acidity, to which we refer to as oleic acid, is no more than 0.8 per 100 g. All the other features must be in compliance with the mentioned category.
As a living product, olive oil is sensitive to temperature, storage conditions and light. When it is exposed to light, its natural properties could be modified and a fast oxidation process could occur. Our Ripa de Teti extra virgin olive oil is packaged in dark glass bottles in order to prevent all this and to maintain the product’s high quality throughout its life cycle.
